6 months

Carson Michael Shive turned 6 months last week and he is breaking my heart how fast he is growing.

He is getting more fun with every month. I am just amazed by him and completely adore him more everyday. His little laugh and smile is just so heart warming.

What Carson has been doing this month:
  • Eating 2 meals (lunch and supper) of baby food (usually a fruit and vegetable). Will start the 3rd meal (breakfast) this week.
  • Drinking five 5-6oz bottles a day every 4 hours.
  • Sitting up alone (he can only last about 30 seconds...still mastering this skill.)
  • He weights 17lbs (48th percentile) and is 27 inches long (27th percentile)
  • He has received his 1st hair cut this month from his daddy.
  • Still waiting on that stubborn tooth
These pics below were taken again by the very talented Jana Dean Rodrigues. They were taken at 4 1/2 months. I LOOOVVEEE them! Jana will soon take some Easter pics with live bunnies. Just cant get enough pics of this baby boy.

Carson, I apologize for sharing pics of your bare booty but its just so darn cute i cant help it.

By this point, he was not too happy about taking anymore pictures. It was lunch and nap time.

His favorite toys are my cell phone and the remote as you can see.

Happy 6 months Carson! Momma and Daddy love you!

Happy Birthday to my mom!

I wanted to wish one of my most favorite people in the world a Happy Wonderful B-day......Happy Birthday Mom!!!! Her birthday was actually the 16th but i'm a little late on the blog.
Last week was my mom and Carson's Honey's Birthday. Another Year, Another Blessing.

My mom is nothing short of Superwoman. Now that I am a mother I can look back and see all the things she did for my brother and I...and really actually appreciate them. Not that I have not always appreciated them but, now it is on a whole new level. She has almost always worked a fulltime job and never had a maid....and she was a mother of 2. She cooked us a meal pretty much everynight and we basically had no chores. Our house was never a mess (like mine is). I'm wondering how she did it?

For my mom's birthday, I wanted to make a confession and say something I know she has been dying to hear me say since I was about 12 years olds. My mom and I use to have some serious arguments over curfews, riding with people before I could drive, and just me wanted to do things that I was too young to be doing. She always use to tell me "One day, when you have kids you will understand." Mom, You were always right! I completely understand now!!!  Thank you for that "tough love" you gave.

Happy Bday Momma! I love u! Thank u for being such a wonderful mother and grandmother and most of all my friend. I could not survive without you. I am so proud to call you my momma.

This weekend Carson was baptized at church. This was such a special and sacred day that I will cherish and remember forever.
